Ukraine’s Military needs deep strike warheads – not milk duds

Ukrainian Drone “Housewives” at SBS “Candyshop” (Цукрарні) produce predominately short-range warheads, and due to lack of resources, need our allied partners to compensate with high quality Middle to Deep Strike warheads….. (source: Grok)

Ukraine’s Drone Boss, Commander Robert “Magyar” Brovdi has raised concern for demand of high quality warhead production from allied partners. His complaint stems from the constant issue of low-end duds for warheads imported from other countries, causing wastage of multiple Ukraine’s military high-value aircraft systems to destroy a target, when it should only really take one.

Importing high quality warheads for deep and middle-strike capabilities will help keep soldiers further from the front line, which preserves lives while being able to eliminate hazardous worm targets which threaten peaceful life in Ukraine.

Read his statement in full here:

Currently, Commander Magyar states Ukraine has more than enough capacity to produce short-range targets. In Feb 2026 I inquired on his telegram channel what differentiates short, middle, and deep range and his team responded as follows:

Near-strike: 0-15 km , middle-strike: 15-80 km, and deep strike – up to 1,500 km

Near strike target capabilities are often assembled by soldiers themselves along the front lines. They load explosives onto the drone, and the drone is flown a certain distance to crash into the target. In 2024, around 40% of Ukraine’s successful targets utilized drone warefare. It’s now 2026, and drones are now responsible for 90% of Ukraine’s targets.

I studied a little about the short-range capability and the risks associated with this cheap but highly effective tecnology that is taking out very expensive military targets. When I traveled to Ukraine in summer 2025, I met with Commander Ryan O’Leary who had recently went viral for shutting down his famous Chosen Company unit during his shift from land forces to drone forces. Back then, the unit comprised of 10 soldiers and was taking out 90 kills per day (liberal number not accounting for standard recon verification), and his main job in air defense was hunting Iranian-made shaheed drones. O’leary told me he does not usually load the warheads himself, his soldiers do it, and sometimes the drone doesn’t take off, creating a sensitive situation for the soldier loading the explosives. the short-range drone technology can only travel so far, and you can pack only so much explosive into the warhead…

A lot has changed since then but in the absence of US military policy permitting deep-range strikes with American-made artillery in which Ukraine already possesses, short-range technology has trended.

There is one thing, however, going against this grain and that is the SBS drone forces setting up new middle and deep range strike centers along the front line, enabling Ukraine to strike deep into russian territory, eliminating sources of enemy capital that feeds into the war. That is why every time US policy softens on russian sanctions, Ukraine doubles down on russia’s energy sector such as the recent strike in Tuapse……

A lot of things can change still as far as US policy with regard to boosting Ukraine’s military advantage, which will bring us closer to forcing russian defeat.

I was in the capitol recently with the Ground Truth Symposium and there is a lot of interest in producing ammunition for Ukraine.

I spoke to former US Special Forces veteran Rep. Pat Harrigan who is serving in US Congress, who suggested the American public needs to see more clear military objectives with the money we have spent in Ukraine thus far in order to continue justifying further spending on ammunition production – which – the Americans want to continue in the states. And I have spoke to others in the policy-making side of the US military who also want to see ramped up production.

After coming back from DC where we were addressed by a Ukrainian Commander who was currently in the Middle East training American soldiers on countermeasures to Iranian Shaheeds, something the Ukrainian military is unmatched in tactical skills, I realized that Americans are not even aware that Ukraine is helping America in our war in Iran WHILE STILL fighting russia.

But it’s not just about friendship. It’s about skills and demand and creating win-win situations for our strategic alliance.

American commanders are calling for “More Rounds” from the Department of war……………………. will we send them duds that we sent Ukraine?

Or will we tap into win-win situations where we are building our arsenals to deliver to frontline soldiers in both the middle east AND Ukraine, so we can deliver a powerful and decisive defeat to warmonger russia and Iran.

……………………………………………………………………………………….

A lot of people are fixated on the “only way” this is going to end.

I’m not.

I believe there are many possibilities to an end. And even though we’ve been dragged by our allies for years, in hopes that they could break our will, I still firmly stand by Ukraine’s maximalist aims…

Yes, i believe Ukraine can take back all of the land, and eventually, will.

But the sooner the better..

Effective changes in defense spending and policy can make a big difference in this war… and it comes down to our political leaders to make these real things happen.

But when negotiations fail, as they so consistently do, then military power is the only conduit.

As Commander Magyar warned decision-makers in our international community………

This is a persistent issue, otherwise I wouldn’t be raising it publicly. Take your eyes off super-profit calculations and fix the problem immediately. Not in office meetings, but through direct engagement with the units using your products. And don’t provoke – this is a deliberate, though concise warning. I know your lobbying capabilities. Neither rank nor position weighs on me.

I hope our defense industry can figure it out………….and soon,,,,,,,,,,,before even more of us will say it’s too late………………………
